Duo look to recruit support for the Kilimanjaro charity challenge

Broadreach Recruitment’s Matt Nebel Takes on Kilimanjaro Challenge to Raise Funds for Three Inspiring UK Charities: IPSEA, Rock2Recovery, and the SBS Association

Broadreach Recruitment is proud to support  one of its dedicated team members Matt Nebel and his friend Neil Padfield in their quest to climb Kilimanjaro and raise funds for two incredible charities.

The two will face the peak of their adventures to date; a gruelling 6,000-meter, five day ascent up Africa’s highest peak. They are undertaking this quest to raise awareness and funds for three charities that are close to their hearts: Rock2Recovery, IPSEA (Independent Provider of Special Education Advice) and SBS Association.

The trek, which will test both their physical and mental endurance, is not just about the personal achievement of conquering the peak, but about making a meaningful impact for those in need.

Supporting Veterans’ Mental Health with Rock2Recovery

One of the causes Matt and Neil are climbing for is Rock2Recovery, an organisation dedicated to supporting veterans and their families as they adjust to civilian life and navigate mental health challenges. Matt and the team at Broadreach Recruitment have seen firsthand the life-changing impact this charity has on those who have served. With more veterans facing mental health struggles, the need for Rock2Recovery’s services is greater than ever.

Helping Children with SEND Through IPSEA

The second charity, IPSEA, provides critical advice and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. As the number of children diagnosed with SEND continues to rise, IPSEA’s work becomes even more vital. By offering legal guidance and assistance to families, they help ensure that children receive the education and care they deserve.

Matt Nebel said: “Neil and I have received so many messages of support from our colleagues, friends and family, who have seen first-hand the positive impact these two charities can have on individuals, families and the wider community. It would be great if we could boost further our fundraising efforts, to ensure that even more people can benefit from the help they provide. Every donation, no matter how small, will directly contribute to the incredible work being done by Rock2Recovery and IPSEA, ensuring that they can continue their vital missions.”

SBS Association: Supporting Families Through Financial and Transitional Challenges

In 2023, the SBS Association extended financial aid to over 150 families, easing the strain caused by medical bills, unemployment during transitions, and other hurdles. Transitioning from such a specialised military unit to civilian life can be daunting for both service members and their families. The SBS Association offers comprehensive support, helping to reduce stress and uncertainty throughout this process. However, due to the covert nature of its operations, the Association faces unique fundraising challenges, despite the critical need for assistance for its members, comparable to other military groups.
