Broadreach Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Finance & Business Process Specialist to join an industry-leading team at a prestigious yacht manufacturing operation in Palma. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the luxury marine sector, providing essential financial and business process support to technical and project management teams overseeing high-value yacht projects.
The Role
In this position, you will play a key role in managing financial processes, reporting, and compliance, ensuring smooth financial operations for yacht projects. You will oversee monthly management reports, statutory reporting, and work on process optimisation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial guidance to project teams, improving quoting, tracking, and invoicing processes.
- Prepare and produce monthly management reports, including profitability analysis by project.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with detailed financial analysis.
- Streamline accounting processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with the UK finance headquarters to manage cash flow for Palma and Barcelona operations.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish fiscal regulations.
- Contribute to financial projects, including the implementation of Microsoft Business Central.
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of financial reporting principles and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in finance systems (Microsoft Dynamics Navision, transitioning to Microsoft Business Central).
- Knowledge of Spanish fiscal regulations.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and large dataset analysis).
- Highly organised with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
Experience
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts and/or statutory accounts.
- Proven track record in improving financial processes or managing financial operations.
- Leadership experience, with a history of developing finance teams.
- Working closely with operational teams to drive financial decision-making.
- Supplier management and customer service experience.
- Previous experience in the marine industry is a plus.
Qualifications
- Part- or fully-qualified with a recognised accounting body.

Additional Requirements
