Duties, Task & Responsibilities

  • Review, Maintain and Report all Company legal responsibilities under H&S Regulations & Law
  • Review current and new legislation, Guidelines Regulations and Approved codes of practices to ensure company is compliant
  • Delivering health and safety training courses
  • Development and implementation of risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Inductions for new and Temporary, Visitors, Contractors, and agency staff
  • Accident Investigation Reporting
  • First point of contact with HSE
  • Fire Safety Maintenance & COSHH Assessments
  • First Aider & First Aid Responsibilities
  • Site Health & Safety Training
  • Internal Health & Safety Auditing
  • Clothing & PPE
  • Vehicles Upkeep and Maintenance and Diary for usage.
  • Management, co-ordination, and administration of monthly site H&S inspections
  • Administration of site Health and Safety policies
  • Management and administration staff training matrix
  • Management and co-ordination of; CSCS cards

    • Maintain all documentation required for HSE in paper form as well as digital
    • Maintain up to date reporting for HSE as legal requirements
    • Check HSE website for latest HSE priority focused inspections
    • Report relevant HSE changes to inhouse management and oversea implementation of these changes.

 

  • Fire Safety and Maintenance
    • Arrange fire risk assessments as required
    • Arrange servicing of fire extinguishers and replacements is necessary
    • Arrange fire drills/evaluations
    • Fire Marshall responsibilities training
    • Arrange fire Marshall training when required
    • Check all fire exits are clear
    • Weekly check all fire doors are working
    • Annual inspection of Emergency lighting
      • Accreditations
        • Maintain and Update CHAS & Safe Contactor Accreditations
        • Review all evidence and update as necessary
        • Upload to portal
        • Answer all relevant question on portal

      Check CITB monthly for any appropriate training changes which would affect Halstock

        • Review CITB Levi with regarding training fees and eligibility for grants.

    • Monitoring & ordering of PPE for sites as required
    • Site related accreditations (CHAS & Safe Contractors)
    • Produce and Review Site Specific RAMS
    • Ensure all sites personnel have read and signed the RAMS

    • Arrange H&S Meeting with Site Manger
