Laminator – Poole

Our client is experiencing massive growth and has a full order book for the future. We have numerous opportunities for those experienced in composite laminating to work an ongoing contract in Poole! If you wish to work on projects for a shipyard with a world-famous brand name, then please apply.

AEROSPACE, AUTOMOTIVE OR MARINE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE?

Prodcedures include: prepreg, wet-lay and infusion. We have vacancies for each different process based in Portland and Poole. Primarily the boats are GRP but they have introduced the use of carbon fibre.

Duties include:

Read and understand lay-up specifications. • Perform a range of laminating processes which may include wet-lay, infusion, and vac-bagging and prepreg. • Use of hand tools. Identify laminating defects. Use of coarse materials and generic bonding pastes.• Release of simple moulds. Use and control of patterns and jigs. Use of a wide range of fabrics, CSM and cloths in dry and pre-preg formats.

Basic housekeeping duties. • Correct use of PPE. •

Key skills and Qualifications required: 

Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks • Good team player and excellent communicator • 2+ years’ experience gained within the Marine, Aerospace, Automotive or other quality driven industry is preferable•

Althought this is boat building, this is ideal for those experienced in the aerospace and motorsport industry!
