Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our client.

This role is a key member of the team and collaborates with various departments. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will build upon the experience you bring to the role, instilling best practice in manufacturing engineering activities. You will drive development and improvement of product/process to improve efficiency across the plant, resulting in reduced scrap, improved lead times and increasing productivity across all manufacturing processes.

This role would very much suit someone who is working in metal manufacturing or Aerospace who is ready to move to a new post and is keen on focussing on reducing waste, maximising team output and doing a hands on, collabrative role.

  • Develop and implement an improvement strategy focusing on manufacturing processes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes.
  • Monitor and analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure product manufacturing techniques and work instructions highlight and confirm customer and internal specifications
  • Managing resources to meet production delivery targets and operational costs within budget
  • Support the engineering manager and plan manager in new initiatives and process improvement
  • Ensure all staff have clear individual and team objectives and these are regularly reviewed and performance managed
  • Have a clear understanding of what the team are expected to deliver in line with the company’s strategy and behaviour’s
