The Opportunity

We are seeking a Production Engineering Manager to spearhead the launch and commissioning of the company’s second and third machine led manufacturing lines. This pivotal role will oversee all aspects of capital equipment,  production, engineering, continuous improvement (CI), output, quality, and optimization. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into a top leadership position within this rapidly expanding business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning and integration of the 2nd and 3rd machine line, ensuring seamless production transition.

  • Optimize production processes to achieve efficiency, quality, and output targets.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean methodologies to enhance workflow, minimize waste, and boost productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with industry quality and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to shape business growth strategies across Michigan and North America.

  • Thrive in a dynamic, non-hierarchical environment, identifying opportunities for improvement without the need for micromanagement.

  • Champion workplace safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to best practices.


Your Experience & Expertise

  • Extensive production engineering and automotive industry leadership experience.

  • Strong technical background in manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and quality control.

  • Hands-on expertise in laser sheet metal processing machines (highly desirable).

  • A proactive, results-driven professional with a track record of innovation and problem-solving.

  • Proven ability to develop business strategies and drive profitable growth.

  • Excellent relationship-building skills, engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (degree preferred).

  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies (a plus).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Band: $120k – $140k

  • Incentive Targets: TBD

  • Health Benefits: Blue Cross Blue Shield – 70% employer-covered, including vision and dental.

  • 401k: 1:1 employer match up to 3% employee contribution, 50% match up to 6% contribution. Contributions are immediately vested (eligibility after one year).

  • Holidays: 10 paid holidays per year.
