Broadreach Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join one of our valued global clients – a leading manufacturer in the precision engineering sector. This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with a strong background in operational management, looking to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment. 

 

 What You’ll Do: 

  • Oversee all manufacturing and production operations, ensuring optimum efficiency and right-first-time quality 
  • Manage a team of Production Team Leaders across multiple shifts, aligning performance with key business objectives 
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets, delivery expectations, and cost objectives 
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement in productivity and process efficiency 
  • Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to optimize machine uptime and material availability 
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards while fostering a culture of engagement and accountability 

 

 What We’re Looking For: 

  • Proven experience in operational management within an engineering, manufacturing, or precision production environment 
  • Strong people management skills, with experience in leading, developing, and coaching teams to achieve high-performance results 
  • Demonstrated success in lean manufacturing implementation and process improvements 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and drive informed decision-making 
  • A results-driven, self-motivated professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills 

 

 Preferred Qualifications & Experience: 

  • HNC/Degree in Engineering or a related discipline 
  • Must understand Lean tools including APQP, 5S etc.
  • ILM Level 5 or equivalent management qualification 
  • Experience in ISO9001/ISO14001/AS9100 environments 
  • Strong ERP and data analysis skills
