Trainee Estimator
This role is a unique opportunity for an aspiring estimator to gain the necessary skills to design and price stair quotations and develop the technical expertise to assist colleagues and customers with all stair related matters.
You will be based in the office, working closely with other Estimators while receiving hands-on training to master the art of producing accurate and competitive quotations.
The role of the Trainee Estimator will involve:
-Drawing / Designing stairs from architect’s plans, surveyors site sheets and customers sketches and drawings
-Pricing up various stair quotations based on specifications received from the trade, surveyors and domestic customers.
-Creating 3d renders of stairs to show to prospective/ existing customers
-Checking all quotes prior to sending off to customers.
-Ordering stair parts and components from suppliers
-Detailing and ordering unique stair components and liasing with suppliers to obtain prices on specialist bespoke products
To be successful in the role we need someone with the following attributes and skills:
-A positive attitude and approach to work
-Good basic computer skills and a sound understanding of Microsoft software, including Excel, Word and Outlook
-Excellent attention to detail and problem solving
-Ability to work in a friendly small team environment
